This month, Graddy Real Estate invites you to experience one of Springfield's architectural landmarks in a completely new way during an exclusive evening celebrating art, design, and inspired living.

Join us on July 23rd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. for a special preview of Jane Troup's collection of artwork spanning more than five decades, from 1974 through 2026, displayed throughout a meticulously reimagined Don Russell designed home. Recently renovated by HomeComing and offered for sale through Graddy Real Estate, the residence provides a fitting backdrop for artwork that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and the beauty of thoughtful design.

Guests are invited to enjoy drinks from The Reserve at Town and County , hors d'oeuvres crafted by Pino and Tinks , meaningful conversation, and an evening dedicated to the pursuit of living an inspired life.

Where Art Meets Architecture

Great architecture has always been more than walls and windows. It shapes how we experience light, gather with friends, and connect with the spaces we call home.

Jane Troup's artwork reflects that same philosophy. Her collection, created between 1974 and 2026, spans more than five decades of artistic exploration and offers visitors the rare opportunity to experience her work in a setting designed to complement it rather than simply display it.

For Troup, the inspiration begins with the natural world and the deeper meaning found within it.

"In nature, I am amazed by the infinite number of organisms and elements swirling in this mix of life. Representing that power, beauty and unity is possible by transforming these elements into form and symbols. The idea of a tree, for example, has great complexity and spirit. It becomes more than an object; it becomes an idea. I use these forms and ideas as my subjects in a scene to create a story about human connection. The painting isn't an outside story, but rather an inside one."

That perspective feels especially at home within this iconic Don Russell residence. Russell's architecture has long been admired for creating spaces that invite reflection, encourage connection, and celebrate the relationship between people and their surroundings. As guests move through the recently reimagined home, Troup's work and Russell's architecture engage in a quiet conversation, each enhancing the experience of the other.

As you move through the home, you'll discover how each room becomes its own gallery, highlighting the relationship between architecture, interior design, and fine art.

The result is an experience that feels less like an open house and more like walking through a thoughtfully curated exhibition.

Continuing a Tradition of Celebrating Design

More recently, we showcased The Glass House in Southern Hills, a striking Matthew Hufft-designed residence that demonstrated how contemporary architecture can beautifully connect indoor and outdoor living while pushing the boundaries of modern design.

Story Time at Graddy’s Playhouse inside Discovery Center of Springfield Every First Friday

Discovery Center to Host Monthly Graddy Playhouse Story Time Beginning This Summer

Families looking for a fun and educational way to kick off each month are invited to Graddy Playhouse Storytime at the Discovery Center of Springfield.

Held on the first Friday of each month at 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Graddy Playhouse Storytime offers children and their caregivers an engaging morning of stories, imagination, and hands-on learning inside the Graddy Playhouse exhibit. The monthly program will run through November, with the final story time taking place before the holiday season.

2026 Graddy Playhouse Storytime dates include:

July 3

August 7

September 4

October 2

November 6

December 4

Each story time is designed for young children and encourages a love of reading while inspiring creativity through interactive storytelling. Following the reading, families are encouraged to continue exploring the Discovery Center's exhibits, including the Graddy Playhouse, where children can discover the value of community, teamwork, and imaginative play.

The Graddy Playhouse opened earlier this year through a partnership between Graddy Real Estate and the Discovery Center of Springfield, creating a permanent interactive exhibit where children can experience a kid-sized neighborhood while learning through play.

Storytime is included with Discovery Center admission or membership.
